"Golden Boat Lifts Promotes Green Construction Practices" October 15, 2008
RCI Marine Inc., primary developer of River Cove Yacht Harbor in Miami, FL, chose Golden Boat Lifts for their recent marina project. They chose Golden because of their expertise in commercial marina projects and the quality of their product.
In the first phase of this project they will be installing (10) 16,OOOIb capacity boatlifts and (12) 20,OOOIb capacity boatlifts.
These capacities of lifts will accommodate boats from approx. 30' to 40' in length. Since the boat is out of the water, Anti-Fowling paint, which has harsh chemicals in it that can contaminate our waters, is not required for the bottom of the boat. Also being used in this project are concrete piles which promotes the growth of filter feeders that can help clean the water.
So when you think green, think "Golden Boat Lifts!"

A Golden Boat Lift recently installed as a joint effort between the Colington Volunteer Fire Department, Colington Harbour's board of directors, and Carolina Marine Structures now allows the Firefighters to release their boat and get underway faster.
The Colington Volunteer Fire Department's Fire & Rescue Boat is docked at the Colingon Harbour Marina on a dedicated Golden Boat Lift thanks to the efforts of the Colington Harbour board of directors, Carolina Marine Structures and the Fire Department.
The new Golden Lift and the dock space allows for a much faster response of the 25-foot vessel to the Colington area and is also available to repond to other Fire Departments as needed. The boat is capable of flowing 2,200 gallons of water per minute, and has a landing craft style bow that allows bringing patients onto the boat safely.
"The boat has unique features that enable Firefighters to perform a wide range of fire and rescue services from the water, even structural protection" said Colington Fire Chief Kim Piddington. "Having the ability to launch the boat faster is a great benefit, he added." The project became a reality after much planning by the Colington Harbour board and the fire department.
Carolina Marine Structures provided the Golden Lift at a significant distount to help the fire department, and Colington Harbour, in addition to designating a dedicated area for the boat, installed electricity and water to the Golden Lift as well as contracted with Carolina Marine Structures to install the dock and pilings.
"This partnership helped the fire department, but ultimately benefitted our community," stated Piddington.

"Golden Rock Hard Installation"
Golden Boat Lifts’ Swedish dealer "Green Marine" recently completed a very unique installation of a 12K (5000kg) Elevator Boat Lift to the side of a rock wall.
At the mooring place there was no other solution but to attach the lift directly to the rocks. The lift was specially built with under a 24 degree angle to follow the angle of the rock wall.
The heavy aluminum Tracks had to be attached to the rock with large drilled anchors due to the slippery wall installation.

Montana USA 2007
Golden "Flat Head Lake" Montana Marina Project:
“Dreamfields Inc.” located in Polson Montana had a vision of a Marina on “Flat Head Lake” in Polson, Montana. Since this would be the first Marina of this type in the state of Montana, Mike knew he would have to get it right the first time out.
As a state of the art 110 slip Marina, they were in need of state of the art Boat Lifts to accommodate the inhabitants. Needing Boat Lifts that would not only fit, but also match the style of the new Marina, Mike contacted their contractor Eric Huffine, president of R.V. Douglass Inc. in Polson Montana (previously operated as “Profection Power Boats").
Since this was the first project of this type in Montana, Mike and Eric wanted to make sure it was done right. Although several other competitors had applied for the contract, Mike and Eric contacted Bill Golden president of Golden Boat Lifts, a manufacturer of a wide range of Boat Lifts. Mike and Eric knew from Bill’s reputation and expertise in this area that this was not Bill’s first Marina project, and that if they wanted it done right, it had to be Golden!
Seen as a golden opportunity for all of them, Mike, Eric, and Bill put their heads together and the Golden team of experts went to work and have now installed 72 four post low profile Golden Boat lifts and will be installing more in the months to follow. With the style and function of Golden’s low profile lifts, and the fact that they can be mounted on a seawall, dock, concrete pad, or a rock wall, has made them a perfect match for the new Marina applications regardless of their boat size. With a low profile look and constructed out of marine grade aluminum, these Boat Lifts are engineered to withstand high winds and turbulent waters whether it is sunny, rainy or even snowing.

Swedish Design
Swedish Golden Boat Lift dealer Green Marine has recently introduced the "Low Profile" Elevator with a designed wooden cover.
Specially the Elevator lifts fit well into the Swedish environment.
Due to the sometimes very harsh circumstances, in a lot of places, it is hardly impossible to keep a boat in the water.
Firmly drilled into the rock bottom, the lifts can withstand high wind speeds (up to 140km/h), big waves and in Winter time ice.
"Therefore good installation is crucial" says Jorgen Avall, CEO of Green Marine. "We never sell a Boat Lift before having seen the installation site. Selling and installation have to go together". Good contacts with the local boating market and good knowledge of the local installation sites is very important. Because of this, Green Marine has recently appointed a dealer in Gothenburg, to cover the
